Bought the battery tray to replace a broken original item. The installation was effortless and it fits like a glove. All I had to add to the process was a thin piece of rubber as a battery insulator and we were back in business. This battery tray is very robust and should last for years. Thank you.

Fitted perfectly into my 2001 Right Had Drive Cherokee XJ. Stock battery tray was broken, and this is a much better option than a used one off ebay. Battery sensor hole was on the opposite side to the original tray, but the sensor cable reached with no problems - just wasn't able to use the bodywork clip to secure the cable - not an issue, as the cable is tucked away in a secure area anyway.
Gave it a few coats of rust proof paint before installing.

This is a great quality product. Nice solid steel so much better than the factory plastic tray. The issue I ran into was the bolt holes did not line up at all. Also, my AC hardlines which run around the battery interfered with tray placement, so even if the bolt holes were correct it still would not have fit due to those lines. I ended up moving the entire tray about a half inch inboard and drilled new holes. Not a huge deal but someone with an older XJ like mine that has AC should be aware of this. I have an 88 XJ.
Quality metal thickness, power coat was great and install was simple! Great product!
